External automation for swing-leaf gates

In 2007 DAAB became part of the FAAC Group. DAAB is dedicated to the development and manufacture of high class drive systems for gates, doors and barriers. Their prime focus is to produce high quality products that they can be proud of, along with an ethos of continuing development and renewal. They have continued with this philosophy since the company was founded in the 1970’s.

DAAB creates versatile systems with unique technology that has an emphasis on heavier applications with a large focus on 3 phase technology and inhouse developed transmissions. The same drive units are used for both automating gates, doors and barriers with different bracketry making them suitable for all types of installation. Using an inverter also enables the use of single phase technology. The results are that the products have a long service life.

• As a general rule, DAAB is offered for large gates where our range of Hydraulic Opera tors such as the 400 range is not suitable or in the case of the 400 SBS Long, if it is too slow. • If there is High Intensive and Continous Use is expected. • Areas heavily effected by wind or if the gates are fully clad or infilled with Palisade fencing. • If the gates are mounted off large pillars and it is not possible to reach with a stand ard operator or with a Articulated Arm such as the 390/391 Operators. • When Opening and Closing speeds are critical such as Rapid Response Vehicle Gates or security gates for Police Stations, Prisons, Embassies, etc.

• Double worm gear box, optimal for applications in windy locations. • Gear box housing made of aluminum. Stainless steel cover is optional. • The worm wheel is made of customised bronze material and the teeth are machine cut to a very high de gree of accuracy. • Self-locking, keeps the gate leaf in position even if the power is broken. • Delivered with an optimal arm system for smooth opening and closing. Good for the toughest applications. • Manages temperatures down to -45C. • Electrical motor 3-phase as standard. 1-phase is optional. • Position of the gate leaf is controlled with the DAAB Absolute Encoder.
