SAFEcoder: the heart of safety The absolute encoder SAFEcoder guarantees complete movement control, reverse on obstacle detection and offers the following advantages: • It can be installed on FAAC automation: for swing, hydraulic and electromechanical, 230V & 24V; • can be installed on existing FAAC installations without the need to modify the brackets or installation dimensions; • allows you to automatically, and with extreme precision, set the deceleration and stop positions with no need for electric limit switches; • allows you to prevent the motor from pushing against the mechanical stops and, consequently, increases the lifetime of the installation and avoids energy waste; • allows you to eliminate mechanical travel stops by manually setting the stop positions, even for partial openings; • avoids abnormal movements after power failure (the absolute encoder always keeps in memory the leaf position).

With SAFEzone, FAAC identifies systems conducive to more convenient installation of automation systems in compliance with the requirements of the European Directive currently in force (Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC) on safety. SAFEzone includes a range of FAAC solutions (Hydraulic and electromechanical operators with 24Vdc and 230Vac power supply) that, by means of the use of new control boards and/or new devices like the absolute encoder SAFEcoder (FAAC patent) , allow not only the realization of new installations in compliance with the Euro Norm requirements, but also the upgrade of existing installations with no need to replace the automation already installed.

FDS RADIO RANGE 433-868 MHz

The evolution of the species

New FDS technology (FAAC Digital Signature) A radio protocol based on frequency modulation with optimal range and battery life performance. The radio transmission is protected by an AES-128 symmetric encryption algorithm with a 128-bit key, and the authenticity of the transmitters is verified by a FAAC certificate chain. New design The FDS transmitters have a distinctive design with a revised, more modern aesthetic and can be protected with optional colored cases . The design of the shape is tailored to enhance ergonomics, while the product’s finish imparts a distinctive quality. Ever greener New cardboard packaging has been introduced to minimize the use of plastic packaging. Full instructions and video tutorials will only be available in digital format. Ever Easier No screwdrivers are required to open the transmitter and replace the battery.

The FDS range is designed to be fully integrated into the Simply Connect platform to enrich the user experience.

THE FIRST EVER PHYGITAL TRANSMITTER MADE BY FAAC

Protection against cloning The radio range uses an advanced security scheme, enhanced by Secure Vault ™ (PSA ™ Level 3 certificate) and TrustZone ® technologies, to provide maximum protection against cloning. The radio transmission is protected by an AES 128 symmetric encryption algorithm with a 128 bit key, and the authenticity of the transmitters is verified by a FAAC custom X.509 certificate chain. Dual Frequency Transmitter and receiver can communicate in dual frequency 433MHz/868MHz at the same time. Thanks to dual frequency, there is no longer the need to choose the working frequency in advance, making installation and maintenance easier for installers and improve performances.
